We are off to a wonderful year!!! Our dinosaur unit was very exciting-Next we will be turning our room into an exciting rain forest ! We will be studying about endangered animals of the rain forest while we are investigating soil, humus, sand, and clay. We will also be studying Johnny Appleseed! His birthday is September 26-Wednesday. On that day we will celebrate by making home made applesauce.
EACH CHILD NEEDS TO BRING ONE PEELED, CORED, SLICED APPLE THE MORNING OF SEPTEMBER 26 It will be delicious!!!!!
We would like to make a mini-rain forest out of a pop bottle! Each child will need to bring a plastic liter bottle (washed, label off, and cut in half. (Please send the bottom half to school by Friday, Sept. 14th). The bottom plastic will be holding dirt and seeds. We will cover the top with seran wrap for the cover. It will actually be a terrarium. If you would like to donate a couple of bags of potting soil and some fast growing seeds, we would appreciate it!
**We need lots of Pringle cans or empty tennis ball cans as well as empty pop bottles!
September 10 media begins!
September 14 field trip to the zoo- We will visit the rain forest and butterfly garden. Everyone needs to bring a disposable lunch and drink. 4 adults can come free
